■ Check and Consent to the Collection and Use of Personal Information
This Privacy Policy is established by 고려원팜(주) (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) to protect the fundamental rights of Internet users who use services operated by the Company, including privacy and freedom of private life and confidentiality of communications, and to prevent human-rights violations caused by illegal interception or information leakage.
The Company places great importance on protecting customers’ personal information and complies with the personal-information protection provisions of Korea’s Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection and the Personal Information Protection Guidelines established by the Ministry of Information and Communication.
Through this Privacy Policy, the Company informs customers how the personal information they provide is used, for what purposes, and what measures are taken to protect it.
1. Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information
The Company collects the minimum information required to process reservations for products to be installed for customers.
All information provided will not be used for purposes other than those stated above. If the scope of collected information or the purpose or use of the information changes, the Company will obtain the customer’s prior consent.
2. Items of Personal Information Collected and Retention/Use Period
The items provided to the Company for service provision and their purposes are as follows.
- For member identification and registration: name, address
- For confirmation of details and consultation: telephone number, email address, mobile phone number
Personal information provided by customers is retained together with records while the customer receives services and is used only to provide the relevant services.
3. Provision and Sharing of Personal Information
In principle, the Company does not disclose customers’ personal information to other companies or organizations unrelated to the service.
Exceptions are limited to the following cases.
- When requested by a relevant authority for investigative purposes under applicable laws and regulations
- When provided to advertisers, partner companies, research organizations, etc. in a form that does not identify a specific individual for statistical preparation, academic research, or market research
- When requested according to procedures prescribed by other applicable laws and regulations
- Even in such exceptional cases, when information is provided pursuant to applicable laws or at the request of an investigative agency, the Company operates on the principle of notifying the person concerned.
However, notification may unavoidably be omitted when required by law.
The Company will make every effort to prevent information from being indiscriminately provided contrary to the original purposes of collection and use.
4. Consent to the Collection of Personal Information
The Company considers that the customer has consented to the collection of personal information when the customer checks “Agree” to the Privacy Policy at the time of reservation.
5. Withdrawal of Consent to the Collection, Use, and Provision of Personal Information
The personal information and consent provided by the customer when reserving a product are deemed withdrawn when the reservation is cancelled.
If you contact the personal-information manager by telephone, email, etc., the Company will take necessary measures such as deletion of personal information.
6. Operation of Cookies
The Company uses cookies to store and retrieve your information from time to time.
A cookie is a very small text file sent to your browser by the server used to operate the Company’s website and stored on the user’s computer hard disk. Its purpose is to understand users’ visit and usage patterns and provide more convenient services.
Users may configure their web browsers to allow all cookies, request confirmation each time a cookie is stored, or refuse the storage of all cookies.
7. Access to and Correction of Personal Information
Customers may access or correct their registered personal information at any time.
To access or correct personal information, customers may directly view or correct the relevant reservation by looking it up, or contact the Company’s call center for assistance.
8. Retention and Use Period of Personal Information
Customers’ personal information is destroyed when the purpose of collecting the information or the purpose for which it was provided has been achieved.
However, if it is necessary to retain information for a certain period to confirm rights and obligations relating to transactions under the Korean Commercial Act or other applicable laws, the information will be retained for the required period.
- Records concerning contracts or withdrawal of offers: 5 years
- Records concerning payment and supply of goods, etc.: 5 years
- Records concerning consumer complaints or dispute resolution: 3 years
9. Management Measures for Personal Information Protection
When handling your personal information, the Company takes the following measures to ensure security so that personal information is not lost, stolen, leaked, altered, or damaged.
- Major parts of your personal information are protected by encryption.
- The Company uses intrusion-prevention and detection systems and other measures to ensure security against hacking and other external intrusions.
- Computer rooms and data-storage rooms are designated as specially protected areas, and only authorized persons are allowed to enter.
- The Company restricts access to personal information as follows:
- Persons who perform reservation-processing duties
- The personal-information manager and staff who perform personal-information management duties
- Other persons for whom handling personal information is unavoidable for business purposes. The Company is not responsible for incidents caused by users’ own mistakes or the inherent risks of the Internet.
To protect your own personal information, you must properly manage your reservation number and bear responsibility for doing so.
10. Rights and Obligations of Users
Please enter your personal information accurately to help prevent accidents.
Users are responsible for accidents caused by inaccurate information they enter. If false information is entered, such as misusing another person’s information, the requested reservation may not be processed and the user may be subject to punishment under applicable laws such as the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection.
11. Protection of Children’s Personal Information
The Company does not permit children under 14 years of age to register as members or make reservations.
12. Destruction of Personal Information
When requested by the customer, or when the purpose of collecting personal information or the purpose for which it was provided has been achieved, the Company destroys the information as follows.
- Personal information printed on paper: shredded using a shredder
- Personal information stored in electronic files: deleted by a method that leaves no personal information and prevents the records from being reproduced
13. Measures Regarding Misappropriated Personal Information
If the Company learns that a customer has registered as a member or otherwise used another person’s resident registration number or other personal information, the Company will promptly take necessary measures such as suspending use of the relevant ID or cancelling membership.
If a customer who becomes aware that their personal information has been misappropriated requests suspension of use or cancellation of membership for the relevant ID, the Company will also take immediate action.
In such cases, the customer who recognizes that their personal information has been misappropriated must verify their identity by telephone, fax, or email through the Company’s customer center.
Identity may be verified using the resident-registration-card authenticity verification service provided by the Korean electronic government.
14. Revisions to the Privacy Policy
The Company complies with privacy-related laws and regulations, including the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, Personal Information Protection Guidelines, the Act on Use and Protection of Credit Information, the Framework Act on Electronic Transactions, and electronic-commerce consumer-protection guidelines.
Accordingly, the contents of the Company’s Privacy Policy may change due to amendments to applicable laws, regulations, or government guidelines.
When the Privacy Policy is revised, the revision date, reason for revision, and revised content will be announced on the website.
The Paledecise Condo Privacy Policy has been in effect since April 1, 2007.
